BUILDING INSPECTIONS

The Building Inspections Division of the Planning and Inspections Department is responsible for ensuring that all residential and commercial construction within the Village limits and its extra-territorial jurisdiction (ETJ) meets the North Carolina State Building Codes and local regulations. To do this, members of the Building Inspections Division review and approve construction plans; perform building, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing inspections; and provide guidance to builders about the state and local building codes and ordinances.
