PERMITS AND LICENSES

Pet Licenses - Your dog or cat that is over four (4) months of age must be licensed.  Pet licenses should be renewed in January of each year and cost $2.00 per animal.  Please complete the Pet License Form and return it along with documentation of rabies vaccination, to Village Hall 395 Magnolia Road.  If you have any questions about the pet licenses requirements, please contact Village Hall at (910) 295-1900.

Building Permits - There are a variety of building permits required by the Village of Pinehurst. The Planning and Inspections Department oversees the application process and can guide you on what permits you may need when building or remodeling in Pinehurst. In addition, the Village has prepared a list of Frequently Asked Questions that may address your buiding permit questions.

Business Licenses - The Village does not currently require a business license. However, if you purchase a business and are changing the use of the property, you must submit an Application for Zoning Use form to the Planning and Inspections Department.

Canvasser or Solicitor - The Village Municipal Code has established for the purpose of governing the manner in which businesses and individuals will be allowed to peddle and solicit for business and other purposes on private property in the Village of Pinehurst.  A permit is required to be filled out and returned to the Village Hall at 395 Magnolia Rd, Pinehurst, NC  28374 whether you are a non-for-profit organization, or a for-profit organization.  If you have any questions, please call 910-295-1900.
